What is executive presence?
Executive presence has three elements.
The first is gravitas. This is an ability to exude courage and confidence even in the face of adversity. Gravitas is central to strong executive presence
The second is communication. Intent, choice of words and tone set the stage for an effective communication. An ability to remain silent at the most tempting stage and speak when it makes a difference defines a good communicator from another. Leaders consciously build and sharpen their communication skills over years.
Appearance or the way you look forms the third essential component of executive presence. Building a non distracting, self assuring polished appearance of self is as crucial in building a personal brand as technical skills
